Funding and remuneration
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, advertised projects do not include a salary or stipend from the research group. Master’s thesis projects are generally unpaid.
Students may have support through Erasmus+, scholarships, their home university, mobility programmes or other external sources. Please mention relevant funding or mobility programmes when contacting us. Do not assume that a project enquiry secures funding.
Centrally organised placements
Some placements may be offered through programmes such as CaCTüS in Tübingen or TUM PREP in Munich. These programmes have their own eligibility, application, selection and funding procedures. Check the official programme information; applicants cannot obtain these funds directly from the research group.
Participation in one of these programmes is not guaranteed by a listing here, and not every project is part of a central programme. Programme applications must follow the programme’s own process.
